Don't skip over this. If reading rules is boring to you, I suggest reading it out loud with a funny accent. Also, I didn't write in "monotone language" so you won't have to cry your way through this. Suck it up and read the rules. Thank you.

There a couple of things I'd like to discuss. First of all, when you are registering for a character under the forum "Character Creation", I ask that you please put the person's name (ex: Richard Greene) and not a cutsie nickname (ex: XloverboyX). I don't care if you decorate the name with dashes and asterisks or include their middle name or whatever, but I want to know who your character is before even clicking on your post.
Also, don't post your profile until it is finished. I suggest you take the format and put it into a word document, because if you do this right, it probably will be time-consuming.
GIVE ME DETAIL. You have to really get into the psychology of your character, or, to tell the honest to goodness truth, they aren't very good. Don't describe their personality as, "Richard is a very kind person and he loves girls. He's sweet most of the time, but every once in a great while he snaps," and then send it, because I'll make you do it over. I would suggest you think in paragraphs rather than sentences.
Please check to make sure that you aren't using someone else's model when you register, because that's very, very annoying. And if another player has a model you absolutely love and want to use on another site, it'd be nice if you asked before you snatched all of their graphics. It's just respect. And don't be stupid enough to steal someone else's character on this site and register it here on this site. You may think that's dumb, but it's happened before.
Just please try to be original when you create a character. I don't have a meter to determine that, but give them dimension.
Don't post anywhere outside of the "Character Creation" board until I accept your character.
2. Playing the Game:
Your character is not perfect. Don't act perfect. Especially NOT on this site. That's actually really funny. A "Jane Doe" on an rpg based around imperfection.
Please ask me before you kill off yourself or your parents. If it's yourself, I understand a slight bit (though you could just quit...), but with your parents, I'll probably have to draw the line.
Write in third person all of the time (unless you are in the "Talk to Someone Other than your Pillow" forum, which is dedicated just to that). Third person is, "Richard Greene turned around the corner," as opposed to, "I turned around the corner."
Add detail to your writing! It's horrible to have to write with a player who posts about two or three sentences after you've posted a fully descriptive essay. Juice everything up. You know that game where someone says a word (ex: cafeteria) and it brings to mind about a dozen words and images? Do that. For example, there are two characters, Characters A & B. Character B asks, "What grade are you in?" Character A responds, "I'm a sophmore," and thinks, "Man, I hate it when people ask questions like that. It's not like your grade level determines how smart you are!" Whatever your character has to respond to, respond with how they feel about that subject, how they feel about that person, things the subject or person might remind them of, their surrounds, their clothing, the things they do with their hands, feet, eyebrows, and eyes, ECT. Be a good writer. An additional thing: let your character's thoughts portray what sort of person they are. What are their morals/beliefs? What makes 'em happy? What makes 'em want to punch someone's lights out? As you post here, I want to discover a little more about your character each time. It's called character developement. It takes what you write in your character registration and expands upon it. Let your character grow and become a person, not a cardboard box with a face on it.
Go ahead and use colors, just not annoying ones. I'm thinking navy, black, maroon, dark green, ECT. Not pink, lime green, yellow, white, ECT.
You can have as many characters as you want to, just make sure to keep them active. And by active, I mean that each character has to have at least one post a week. And that's easy. In general, you should be on every week as well. You have to post. Otherwise the board falls apart. Please try to throughly develope one character first though, before you jump into another personality. It'll make it easier on you and us.
Keep your characters real. I know I've already said this, but it's important to me. I completely understand that there are weird people out there who have extremely sensational personalities. I also understand that you are probably prone to making a certain kind of character. But we can't all be anorexic beautifully wounded people who get saved or bisexual emo love boys. This rule will probably be the death of me, but that's alright.
No advertising, spam, whatever. There's a section for that. I believe I spelt the word "advertising" with a "z", but that's okay. You'll live, I promise you.
Personal hate, grudges, and mudslinging are not to be brought to this board. I will be very unhappy if this turns into a flame war, and offending parties will be deleted without notice and banned. This however does not apply to me. If I feel that you're being a drama queen and trying to start crap with my members, I will get rid of you.
This board is for mature players and writers. Please try to live up to that.
If you have a problem with: homosexual relationships, possible violence, disturbing real life scenarios (applies to specific character pasts; rape victims, substance abusers and the like--- no one is perfect) then, you should not be here. I repeat, this board is meant for serious role players with open minds.
Aren't you glad those are done? The password to the "Character Creation" board is "stupendous". I put this at the end so you'd not only read all of the way through, but you can find it if you forget it (because you need it everytime you go there). Have fun rp-ing. I can't wait to read your stuff. Remember: beef it up.
